  Hi, I'm J'ghanako. I was found as a baby near the aetheryte in Ala Ghanna. No one saw who left me there. I was raised a ward of the community in the age of Mad King Theodoric. Living off scraps, begging for what coin I could find, I lived hand to mouth. Once the Mad King was overthrown, I was taken in by a former revolutionary returning home. For a year I had a wonderful life in a loving home. At age ten I remember the Garlean invasion, my adoptive father going to fight the Empire. I remember his body being returned to his home. I remember the beatings the Garleans gave me when I attempted to bury him. For the next five years I returned to the streets, until an officer took notice of my budding beauty. He ordered me taken to the House. We had no other name for it. For the next year I was trained to service the desires of their soldiers, their crest burned into my wrist to mark me as theirs for life. I spent the rest of the occupation in the House, pleasing their soldiers and officers. By all accounts it was an easier life then that of my fellow Ala Mighans. We never starved, beatings were rare, and they treated us with less disdain then my counterparts outside the House. But still... I attempted to take my own life several times, however, my internal hatred eventually turned outwards. Before I could try my plan the Alliance invaded, and the House liberated.
  After the impromptu celebration we held for the soldiers who liberated us, I got my tattoos. The only marks we were allowed in the House was their crest. It was my first act of rebellion in fifteen years. I decided to leave my homeland, the memories too painful for me to remain. Following a detatchment of Gridanian soldiers returning to their homeland, the first used me for their pleasure. But they took pity on me eventually, teaching me some basic skills with the spear. I endured their jokes at my expense for my taking up the spear. Arriving in Gridania, I hear rumors of the Whispered Wish, a place where I can use the skills the Garleans taught me to provide aide and comfort to their enemies. Steeling my resolve I head for Ul'dah, intent on joining them.
  
  Eventually, I find that the Wish is too close to the House. Striking out on my own I search for a new home.
